Photographing a Slightly Older Newborn Baby

Her session was a lovely reminder of why newborn photography is often recommended within the first 5–10 days after birth, when babies are typically sleepier and more naturally curled. That said, every baby is different, and in-home sessions allow us the flexibility to work at your baby’s pace, honoring exactly where they are in those early days.

Photographing newborns in the comfort of home creates a relaxed, familiar setting, not just for baby, but for parents as well. There’s no rushing, no pressure, just a gentle flow that allows these fleeting moments to be captured naturally and safely.
